CATALOGUE OF TREES

Award winning dancer Virpi Pahkinen has toured the globe both as dancer and a choreographer. Here she performs in collaboration with Michał Jacaszek: one of the most renowned Polish electronic music producers and composers. The project is based on Jacaszek’s music from the album Catalogue of Arbres which was the main inspiration for Virpi’s choreography. With them Thomas Strønen  – a Norwegian jazz drummer who has recorded more than 60 albums. He has worked with Iian Ballamy, Arve Henriksen, Mats Eilertsen, Ashley Slater, Eivind Aarset, Christian Fennesz, Nils Petter Molvaer, Bobo Stenson, John Taylor, Tore Brunborg, Morten Qvenild, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Sidsel Endresen, Bugge Wesseltoft, Tomasz Stańko, Koichi Makigami, Ernst Reijseger, Nils-Olav Johansen, and Stian Carstensen.
