AGNES HVIZDALEK

Agnes Hvizdalek is a vocal artist, singer, composer and improvising musician who enjoys going to the extremes. Her projects include minimalist reduction as well as explosive noise music. She is active in various contemporary genres within jazz, electronic and classical music and happily crosses the boarder to other art forms. Growing up in Vienna, she moved to Norway in 2008 where she currently is based outside of the city of Bergen. Recently she had been selected for the young composer’s mentoring program of the Borealis festival for experimental music, and the talent development program KUPP by the Norwegian Composers Association and Music Norway. In 2019 she received a working stipend by the Norwegian Arts Council and in 2011 the so called Start Stipendium for young artists by the Austrian Ministry of Culture and Education.
