Having definitively integrated the computer into the very heart of his work, as a tool of thought and composition, and as a live instrument, working on the sheer electronic noise or hybridising more traditional instruments, he is developing a huge body of work with the help of the hybridation he developed between his custom-build bass and home designed live-electronics. This research leads him to write for different soloists or ensembles, to play himself solo pieces, collaborate with contemporary dance companies, all those activities having in common the development of an ”electronic state of mind”.
He has worked with academic research organizations and electronic studios, such as GMEM, GRM, CRFMW, GRAME, IRCAM and Radio-France, as well as with experimental or unclassificable musicians, such as Éliane Radigue, Zbigniew Karkowski, Dror Feiler, Tetsuo Furudate, Phill Niblock, Ulrich Krieger, Z’EV and Art Zoyd or with leading new music ensables such as Phoenix_Basel or Zeitkratzer.
He has won several prizes and distinctions: 1st prize in composition for orchestra at the Festival of Besançon, 1st prize in the Opéra Autrement/Acanthes competition, Villa Médicis Hors-les-Murs in New York, prize Léonard da Vinci in San Francisco, Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, DAAD in Berlin, Giga Hertz Prise (ZKM, Karlsruhe).
He also favors collaborations with like-minded musicians, such as Lars Akerlund, Julien Desprez, Didier Casamitjana, or other artists.
