DEMI BROXA
While Agnes Hvizdalek’s solo project celebrates her fascination with the human voice, the duo project Demi Broxa explores the meeting points with technology. It’s an experimental long-term relationship with the bass-player and electronic musician Jakob Schneidewind. He is mainly known as member of Elektro Guzzi, one of the most outstanding and innovative live techno bands. They met in improvisation classes at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and have since managed to consistently work on developing a common language, although they have walked different paths in their artistic careers. Demi Broxa combines electronic soundscapes with pure vocal sounds and minimalistic musical structures with organic improvisations. Using only voice, bass and electronics Agnes Hvizdalek and Jakob Schneidewind create fascinating abstract songs that are both direct and complex. They share a strong vision for the future of music which makes them explore new possibilities of creating music together.
